Jack shivered as her prodding questions seemed to spill forth from her mouth. In an effort to ignore her, his pace quickened as they neared another corner towards the downtown area. Bar signs soon dotted the view of the avenue, accompanied by the light clapping of his shoes against the decorative brick streetway.
Zero sighed, she was hopeless in talking to him alright, but no matter, they were partners now and so one way had to be done so she decided to go along with his way since he knew well the place better than she ever would.
She looked around the place, it was a mess, the perfect scene for the perfect crime almost. She then stepped on something that made a loud crack and quickly stepped away, a broken bottle. At least she hoped it didn’t caught any attention.
